Content Twelve recipients of the CPLC Tommy Espinoza Scholarship to Arizona State University have graduated with their bachelors’ degrees. “I am honored to be one of the recipients of the CPLC Scholarship. Thanks to your generous support I am the first in my family to attend college… As a teacher I want to continue to help less fortunate and under-represented social groups. I truly believe that providing students with the adequate tools, support, and guidance will lead them to reaching their fullest potential regardless of their socio economic background… My educational accomplishments would not be possible without your generous support. Sí se puede!” -- Sarai Cota, Elementary Education “CPLC has played such an intricate role in me graduating college. From the day I accepted the scholarship I never stopped learning… I walked around ASU’s campus with an extra sense of pride knowing that I represented such an amazing group of people. I knew I wanted to do whatever I could to give back to CPLC and its scholars. Thank you to everyone at CPLC who made my dream a reality. As I write this now, I am officially an Alum of the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Go Devils!” -- Mateo Reyes, Business “CPLC enabled me to focus on my education without constantly stressing over how or who would pay for it— a feeling all too familiar for many brown and black working class students. As a first-generation college graduate, my family and I are beyond grateful for CPLC. I am proud to call myself a graduate of ASU’s School of Politics and Global Studies with a 4.0 cumulative GPA in only 3 years. Thank you so much for all of the support!” -- Audrey Ruiz, Political Science Thank you to all of our generous donors that make this program possible, as well as the sponsors of our annual scholarship golf tournament!
