Helping Kids Connect at Lowell Elementary
2nd Nov 2021
Technology has increasingly become an important part of school. During the pandemic, however, technology served as a critical lifeline to education, as nearly all students across the country attended school online.
Even as students have returned to classrooms, technology skills continue to be an important part of the curriculum. Unfortunately, despite the importance of computers and internet, many low-income students do not have the access they need.
This month, Chicanos Por La Causa was excited to be able to distribute 38 laptops to students at Lowell Elementary School. This effort was part of the ongoing Help Our Kids Connect campaign, which CPLC initiated at the beginning of the pandemic to decrease the gap in access to computers and the internet for low-income students.
Thank you to our partners, Cox and AZ StRUT, for helping make this computer distribution possible!
