CPLC Workforce Featured in DATOS Report
15th Nov 2021
In October, the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce published its annual DATOS Report, which provides an overview of the State of Arizona’s Hispanic Market. The theme of this year’s report is Elements of a Healthy Community, and it examines factors that help build healthy environments such as education, economic opportunity, health care, environmental quality, and affordable housing.
This year, the DATOS report highlighted a CPLC program that is contributing to building a healthy community. Our CPLC Workforce Solutions program promotes economic mobility through workforce development. This program assists more than 2,500 clients annually, who tend to be young and Latino. CPLC Workforce Solutions provides opportunities for members of this population to learn knowledge and skills that will help them obtain work in high paying industries and adapt to the current economic landscape.
These kinds of opportunities are critical to help community members access a living wage and meaningful employment. In addition, these opportunities help address the systemic problem of the wealth gap by providing means for the most vulnerable members of our community to start building generational wealth.
